FirstManagement Partners traces its history back to the early 1970’s and the vision and hard work of University of Miami student Gene Gomberg. Gomberg created a lawn care and maintenance business based upon the principles of service, ethics and solid personal relationships. Working out of a converted school bus used to haul his equipment and a handful of hardworking employees, Gomberg’s lawn care business soon evolved to administrative property management as satisfied clients sought additional assistance from him.
In 1990, Gomberg and his business partner Richard Strunin formed The Continental Group, one of the nation’s largest and most respected property management companies, and an employer of choice in the property management industry. Many of Gomberg’s early employees remain with Continental today, more than thirty years later.
Gomberg and Strunin recognized the need throughout North America for a national property management company that shared their vision of providing exceptional service and delivering on that promise with consistency and integrity.
